Instructional Media/Library
Overview
Department Overview
The Grand Prairie ISD Instructional Media program provides lifelong learning skills for 21st century learners. The program ensures that all staff and students are empowered with information literacy and emerging technologies through collaborative lessons designed with Instructional Media staff. The love of reading and literacy is fostered by providing access to both print and electronic resources.
The Marshall Elementary library has over 19,000 books, magazines, books-on-tape, DVD's, and online resources. We have a flexible schedule which encourages students, staff and parents to use the library throughout the school day.
Students enjoy regular book check out sessions and research activities using the Gale databases and other library materials. Our student-centered library encourages students to be independent, responsible, and enthusiastic library users.
